Interrogating Our Painter

Few people know that I am kind of paranoid. Maybe it is because I am married to a cop who brings home stories or pictures of stab wounds, drugs, drug deals, transvestites, dead people..must i go on? Or maybe its because i watch the news. Since we have been finishing our basement I have had multiple strangers working in my house, most have been kind enough to use the basement windows for entry and the port a potty down the street. And i have studied every single face that has entered my home. Well, currently the painting is being done. The guy who i hired is pretty shady looking..and his car is even worse. but i got a copy of his business liscense and his ID. Matt checked his record and he's clean. But then he brings a helper who says his name is "T" and doesnt have his ID on him for multiple BS reasons. So Matt goes downstairs and has a little "chat" with him. Matt asks him for his name, b-day and SSS. "T" responds " uh yeah, yeah...my name is uh Tim..uh..uh..Byrd. My b-day is uh..lets see.. i just turned 41 and so uh..its 4-26...bla bla bla. So matt says "look, you know i am a cop. I deal with this everyday so quit lying to me". "T" gives up his info and sure enough he has $ 25,000 in warrants. We have kept a close eye on him and promised not to arrest him if he calls the courts and gets it taken care of. And did I tell you the last painter who worked on our toyroom Matt had arrested? Grrrreat. Its got to suck running from the law and always looking over your shoulder. So hopefully the guy who lays our carpet isnt a complete dirtbag. But that is why I love having a cop for a husband..and a good looking one too. But our basement is almost done..yippee!
